No. 11: Not travelling enough

Travelling is a form of education that very few people get to experience in their lives.

Not only does travelling educate, but it also exposes and expands your mind, helping you understand the world beyond what you see in the media.

Many people who travel return forever changed – not for better or worse; but they go through a special kind of evolution that is more like what maturity is to a growing teenager.

Perspectives are widened. Goals become limitless – because there is a hunger for more.

And then, particularly for people who come from countries with devalued currencies, as a multi-millionaire, you realize that you are what we call – a local champion!

Your millions at best-become hundreds of thousands of the global currencies of value.

Traveling also exposes you to global standards, best practices, more career, business and academic opportunities, and foreign cultures, helping you to realize that there is more that can be done beyond the files, you push around in your office.

In a world steadily but speedily shrank by digital technology, you cannot truly say you are a global citizen if you don’t travel.

You don’t have to travel very far, you can just start with tourist centres within your country, then you progress to travelling to neighbouring countries within your region, and widen the scope eventually to farther-flung countries within the continent, before you proceed to intercontinental travelling.

It would be very sad to look back at decades spent working hard, earning decent money, and only paying bills and tax. Because then, it would become much more difficult to travel, and you will absolutely regret it.
